Joint Founders Day Service – Saturday, 12th May 2018. 2.00pm. Sherborne Abbey and afterwards at The Digby Hall for Afternoon Tea.
Our Founders Day Service is coming up once again and as usual held jointly with the LDSOGA on 12th May. However this year is a little bit special being their Centenary Year. Hence a return to the Abbey and a change to the tea location. Please also note the revised Service time of 2pm.
Please find attached your Invitation and Booking Form. The last date for booking your afternoon tea is the 22nd February 2018.
Booking is essential so that the caterers know the numbers attending well in advance. Please send your form to the LDS address and annotate the form to highlight you are a member of the OFA.
I look forward to seeing you there

Just before Christmas 2015 two boxes of items left by Ken House were deposited with the Curator at Sherborne Museum for assessment towards possible accession. These items are included in the final list of all the items found by Barbara Elsmore during the time she helped review the archive with Ken and with John House. Any future correspondence regarding items in the archive should be made to Sherborne Museum Curator, Church Lane, Sherborne DT9 3BP email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Anyone who wishes to view any item held in the archive or who wishes to donate any further items not already on the list should also contact the curator.
As you may have noticed if you’d been to the old site, I’ve moved the hosting to a much better wordpress hosting company. I think it’s all working but if you do come across anything that isn’t please let me know by adding a comment here.
I’ve refreshed the website’s design with a new look and may move the site off wordpress.com and onto a dedicated server soon so that it can get even more funky features – I’d like to add a history timeline and some other stuff that can’t be done using wordpress.com. I’d also like to remove any advertising that may be appearing because of the wordpress.com hosting.
If anyone has any suggestions for the site please let me know, I could add a social network type section as well if people would use it?
